Veronica Morris, Education and Environment Specialist at the Next Century Foundation submitted her UN oral statement to the 46th Session at the UNHCR on the destructive impact of the Federative Republic of Brazil’s policies on the Amazon Rainforest. These policies deliberate lead to the seizure of land, infringing the rights of the hundred and thousands of indigenous inhabitants of the rainforest. Further, these policies actively encourage deforestation as the demand of soya and timber escalates.
